The Whiteline KTA285 front tension strut arm upgrade is a purpose-built solution for drivers who want sharper braking response, improved turn-in, and added front-end adjustability without sacrificing street manners. Designed to address the significant loads placed on the front tension strut (also known as the thrust arm) under braking and corner entry, this upgrade delivers tangible performance gains where it matters most. Factory rubber bushings are intentionally soft and open in design to allow multi-axis movement during steering, but under heavy braking they compress and release, allowing unwanted arm deflection. The result is reduced stability, inconsistent braking feel, and tire skip—issues that are amplified when ABS is engaged or the car is driven hard. Whiteline’s upgraded arm and bushing solution dramatically reduces this compliance, keeping the suspension geometry stable and the tire planted under load.
