Silverstone National - Focus Cup + TDC + TDT - 15th-16th May 2021
Round 2 of the MSV Trackday Championship 2021 season brought us to Silverstone, on the shorter National Circuit. I was racing in this on myself, and also doing the Focus Cup, which had testing on Friday, and the Quali + 2 Races on Saturday. Sunday would then leave us with the MSV Trackday Trophy , where I shared the drive with Ryan this time.
Below is the layout of the Silverstone National Circuit:
Saturday
It was another busy day, with a compact schedule, I was jumping between the Golf

Brands Hatch GP - MSVT SuperCup - 8th May 2021
With only 2 weeks since our successful last MSVT SuperCup race, which you have read about here, we were on the way down the A1 to the sunny Garden of England, to Brands Hatch in Kent.
Below is the layout of the Brands Hatch GP Circuit, which is the same as they use in the BTCC, and as it was when the F1 circus visited here in the 80s:
What did I say about the Sunny Garden? Turns out it was going to be heavy rain from early Saturday morning at least into mid afternoon. That would not have

Donington National - MSVT SuperCup + Focus Cup + EnduroKA - 24th-25th April
After our first round success in the MSV Trackday Championship and misery in the MSV Trackday Trophy, which you can read about HERE, we were back to Donington Park for the MSVT SuperCup.
The SuperCup is very similar to the TDC and TDT in regards to classes, using the Power to Weight ratio which is a very good way of keeping different cars on a level playing field, but with 2 higher classes, to allow much faster machines, such as the BMW M3s and TCR Cars to enter. It also works well for 2 dri

Tuning the BMW x16d / x18d N47 / N47N 2.0 Diesel Engine
The 2.0 Diesel N47 Engine found in most of the E Series BMWs is very tuneable, but not as bullet proof as it's 3.0 cousin, as we found out a while back.
Over the last few months we have been developing our upgrades for the N47 / N47N Engines found in the x16d / x18d Models.
These have a Solenoid Type Injector that are very small, and struggles to do much over 200bhp without excessive smoke and Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs)
This Blog Post is specifically talking about the x16d / x18d N47 /

Donington National - MSV Trackday Trophy & Championship - 11th April
The first round of the 2021 Season of the MSV Trackday Championship and MSV Trackday Trophy was at our 'local' track, Donington Park, on the National Circuit configuration.
For those not up to speed, the class structure is based upon Power to Weight ratio which is a very good way of keeping different cars on a level playing field. It also works well for 2 driver teams, as it is a 45 minute race with a mandatory 2 minute pit stop, which allows for a driver change. We decided that I will run al

Tuning the BMW x30d N57N / N57D30A 3.0 Diesel Engine
The 3.0 Diesel N57 Engine found in most of the F Series (and some of the E Series) BMWs is highly tuneable, and pretty much bullet proof (save for the usually emissions gremlins).
We have tuned many of them over the years, and now have a good recipe for the ultimate daily driver setup whilst maintaining that reliability.
This Blog Post is specifically talking about the N57N / N57D30A engine with Solenoid Injectors, but the principles of the mods are pretty similar to the other N57 Engines.

VW Amarok Suspension Guide
The ultimate guide to lifting or lowering your VW Amarok!Whether it's for practicality or just for looks this guide covers all our options for lifting and lowering your VW Amarok...
Lifting (Suspension)
From factory the rear of the Amarok sits higher than the front, so the first step to lifting is to raise the front to match. Some people install lift springs to the stock struts which is not ideal as this maxes the travel of the damper resulting in a crashy ride.If you have already gone down this
